Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay California

I took out a personal loan from - - when I was in my - program back -/-/-. this was not a school loan because it was used for incidentals, like food and rent to tide me over until I got a job, after I had received my student loan and my classes were already paid for. Well I filed bankruptcy and added this loan -/-/-. The debtor kept calling me and sallie mae changed to navient and then navient sent the loan to collection agency - - -. Well at first I thought that it was a federal school loan because they insisted that it was. but when I consolidated my loans they stated that this was not a federal student loan so it could not be consolidated. They had been harassing me every day and I stopped paying because I contacted my legal services and they said that these privatized loans are not student loans but some unscrupulous lenders try and collect after bankruptcy. I gave them the chapter - bankruptcy and discharge papers ; yet they are still harassing me.
