JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I had - chase credit cards that I paid on time for years and then I had a - incident that caused me to lose my income for 21 months and then only received a fraction of my pay from an insurance policy due to my - leaving me totally -. I was unable to pay chase per our agreement and the account became charged off. I received a letter and a - from chase in 2014 saying my account was written off and I paid taxes on the amount owed per the -. Chase also reduced its tax liability by counting my account as a bad debt and saved paying Corp income tax on the amount I owed them. My problem is that chase still reports every month to all - credit angencys that I owe them money that is not true and my credit score is being reduced by - - points due to this vindictive policy. I am unable to buy a house, send my daughter to college or buy a car due to this reporting of a settled debt as not settled and currently late which is not true. I called chase offering to give them money if they would correct there error and they refused my offer and said even if I paid that they would not reverse the -. I believe that would be a violation of tax law. Any help you can provide would be helpful.
