I have reached out to Alliance Interstate to make a settlement on a - - account. After multiple discussions with collection specialists, I asked for clarity on the reduced settlement amount that I was offered. Allied interstate refused to provide me in writing prior to making the settlement payment of $1500.00 that this is the amount that they offered to pay. I then asked to speak with a collection manager and was told that the manager was not on duty by - -. Per -, no letter can be sent until after payment to reflect settlement. He initially refused to allow me to speak with a manager. I was then transferred to - - who then admitted that he was a collections specialist and not a manager. I then transferred to - - who identified herself as a manager. She initially told me that following payment on my settlement, I would receive my confirmation in 7 to 10 days. She then refused to answer any further questions and transferred me back to - -. I am now being told that I will not receive my confirmation of payment for approximately one month. I raised the concern of paying a settlement of debt without any proof of the agreement. I was told that the call is recorded and that is sufficient enough. I am requesting Allied Interstate provide me in writing confirmation of the agreed upon settlement. I was told I can not receive any proof of amount for settlement via fax or email.
