both the contractor and myself and the local Branch refused to cash the check. I spoke to - from their lost draft department, and she stated the bank rep called and was advised that the funds could be released. The bank rep - stated the total opposite. As of -/-/2015 I have still not have not been able to cash the check. Until this point M & T bank issued all checks to me however, nowhere is these new processes published on their corporate website Mtb.com Consumers are at the mercy of which ever agent answer the call there is no consistency in procedures or communication from neither the loss draft department nor the branch to process the checks. During my encounter I have advise them of my frustration and inquired why has there been these change and the agents have not been able to explain. The local branches are not familiar with the new procedures, nor can they explain why the checks are being issued to both me and the contractor.
