Army and Air Force Exchange Service Credit card department,
I was trying to make payment arrangements with my credit card company because I received a letter in the mail dated - - ( See attached ). I had until - -, 2015 to get in contact with them before they sent me to collections and would charge me an addition - % on top of what I owe. I spoke to someone at AAFES on - -, 2015 about the unmanageable $470.00 a month payment requested in the original letter. She and I made the payment arrangements of $210.00 each month for 36 months. After all was said and done I agreed to put it in writing and fax in which I did on - -, 2015. The payment arrangements were to start on - -, 2015. When I called them on the -, they had no record of the phone conversation or my fax. They had note that I called in on - -, 2015 to talk about the debt, but then no record of the lengthy phone conversation afterwards. I asked for them to listen to the recording for proof of the conversation. The customer service agent said she did not have access, only her manager. I asked for a manager, but the manager was not in after a ten minute hold. I talked with the debt collection company and they were not helpful. When I talked to AAFES they told me to pay them, and not the debt collection company. I can not control if an AAFES employee enters my data in the computer system or not and should not be penalized for her not updating the database with my new payment arrangements.
