Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Florida
Please help me!!! In - 2015 I got a title pawn from Titlemax in - Ga. after being put off work for 27 days without pay in order to not default on my financial obligations. Shortly after returning to work I was - on the job twice, once in -/-/- ( - ) and once in -/-/- ( - ) again not receiving any pay. I have been paying on the loan since that time. After the second on the job -, I fell behind. Eventually I made arrangements in -/-/- to make a payment on -/-/-. On that day I called to pay the total outstanding amount ( - ) using a credit card. I was told that I had to come in to pay in person. I traveled to - Georgia to make the payment and was told that they could not accept a credit card payment. I had a check
left with no income. I further explained that I was looking for permanent, stable employment that would not subject me to such risk and provide benefits in the event of an injury. I went on to tell her that I have opted to cash in some of my retirement that will be disbursed -/-/-, thus allowing me to pay them in full. On that same day a representative of Titlemax came to my home. When I questioned the manager she claimed not to have any knowledge of anyone coming to my home. I explained to her that I did as instructed by her staff, trying to bring my account current and because of their misinformation it placed me in a horrible position. Furthermore, had I been provided the correct information, I could have made alternative arrangements. Their information was costly and detrimental to me. They call everyday, 3-4 times per day. Sometime around -/-/- Titlemax called my Stepfather, - -, and disclosed the details of my account and told him I was 2 months behind. I thought this was illegal. When he questioned if I had made any payments they replied, " I ca n't talk about her account. " They failed to mention that I had traveled to - and tried to pay. They failed to mention that I had paid $800.00 on -/-/-. They failed to mention that I had called and communicated with them as early as the previous day. My Stepfather became very upset with them and a confrontation occurred. - the manager at Titlemax told me this information. She stated that the exchange was so bad that her employee hung up on my Stepfather. Per -, shortly after that call - - 's wife called and another contentious exchanged occurred. After calling - -, they then called my aunt - -. They have also called - - 3-4 times per day for over 2 weeks. I questioned - about her tactics, telling her it was illegal to disclose my personal financial business to anyone. I also question the reason for calling my aunt after speaking with my Stepfather. Fortunately, my aunt was present during the -/-/- conversation and was on the phone during the -/-/- meeting. After receiving another income source I spoke with -, again making another arrangement. On -/-/- another Titlemax representative came to my home, before the arrangement could materialize. I feel like -. They tell you one thing and do another. I feel that there was never any intention to work with me and no matter what I did the only purpose is to take my car. I believe the wrong information was done on purpose. There is no reason for them to send their lynch men to my home. This is threatening and intimidating. Please Help
