In trying to negotiate a payment plan on debt on a Wells Fargo credit card- and though I 'm still willing to pay the full amount of the debt, the representative consistently said that they could not advise how this would affect my credit. I insisted on knowing how a payment agreement would affect my credit prior to making a decision on whether to accept the terms, but they could not say how it would be reported. I feel I have the right to know before I agree to terms. And they said I could contact the Credit Bureau 's to ask them. But I know the reporting comes from the lending entity NOT the credit bureau.
