I have Best Buy credit card ( Citibank ), and have been receiving harassing calls after paying my $25.00 payment - not exactly a huge debt. With my husband having been recently been hospitalized, right or wrong, that small payment was last on my to-do list. Yes, I was late ; however, I took the initiative to call them directly this morning ( approximately - on - ) to make - payments ( $50.00 ), including the scheduling of the next. By about -, I noticed I had missed another call from Citi/Best Buy with regard to my outstanding payment despite having satisfied it. In response, at -, I called Citi/Best Buy again to ensure that my account was up to date, considering I received such confirmation earlier in the morning. She said all was well, and that they 'd cease the calls. Sure enough, at - I was called again by the same number ( - ). This time I explained to her that I 'd verified TWICE that my account was up to date, and that this was the second harassing call after having paid. I politely warned them not to call again, but my expectations are low.


a few years ago, I know there is absolutely NO reason that their so-called dialing system '' ca n't be linked to updated account data. It 's ridiculous and rude. I 'm sure I 'll get another at - and likely again tomorrow. If there is anything that can be done, I would appreciate it immensely. I did a little research on the toll free number I mentioned above, and saw similar complaints on - notes-type sites. Apparently Citi and Best Buy are known for this. ( I have accounts with other institutions, and have not had a similar issue. ) Thank you.
