-, received a call from Amcol Systems ( caller ID ) asking for my wife to discuss a business manner. I said she was at work and I was her husband. She started to fish for info ( after identifying herself as a collection agency rep ). I said wife was at work and - gave me a number to call ( - ). After speaking with my wife, I called the number back and asked for -. She said call was being recorded. When asked for written verification of the debt, Amcol Systems rep. - said their protocol did not provide for written verification of debt. I reminded - that this was part of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Instead, she gave me a list of amounts ranging from $10.00 - $200.00 and dates filed by - -. No other info was available except for - phone number to call. She could not identify what the debts were for, just date and amount. WE were to call - - if we needed any more info. Thank You, -
