I sent sample letter from CFPB requesting more information about debt since this company has placed a judgement against me. What I received was a letter stating that this my debt for card -, when it was opened by - - - ( never heard of ) and when it was charged off and sold to LVNV funding. They state it is mine because my social security number is associated with this account. Can I have further proof that this is my debt such as a copy of where I signed to get a credit card? If so how do I request it? I have - accounts with - - now - -, and if - - and - - are the same why would they give me more credit if I owed a previous debt to them. How can make sure this is right? LVNV has placed a judgement against me for something I am not sure of.
