Wells Fargo Credit card department,
Before I left out of the country for an extended amount of time I went down to Wells Fargo branch office to discuss my credit card payment while I was gone. I talked to a clerk and explained that I would be out of the country for well over a month. I paid a double payment to insure I would not miss any payments while I was out of the country. The clerk also informed me to download the Wells Fargo online banking app to help keep track of my account. I downloaded the app checked the day before I left and according to Wells Fargo there was no payment scheduled ''. Upon returning home I had a letter in the mail waiting on me from Wells Fargo entailing how I have missed a payment on my credit card and it was reported on my credit score. I immediately called Wells Fargo to discuss the issue. I was
wrong. After two weeks on several phone calls with numerous supervisors I have been told yes Wells Fargo made an error by the clerk telling me payment was n't due until after my return date. They also informed me that they are not willing to help correct their mistake. I went to the bank informed them of my situation before it was an issue, I also made extra payments trying to prevent this situation. I have been treated no better than a criminal by Wells Fargo and am just looking for a meeting half way. I have paid all late fees and talked to every department trying to resolve this.
