I cancelled my - - on -/-/-, at the time of disconnection they provided me the amount of my outstanding balance, which I paid via credit card over the phone. Today ( - ) I received a collection notice from Credit Protection Association L.P. on behalf of - -. When I called - - they informed me that they made a mistake in the calculation of the final payment due, and adjusted it after I made the final payment. - - NEVER notified me I owed anything else, no mail, no email, no phone call - they just put me into collections. I made the payment today, I would have made it sooner had I known that I owed them money. Putting me in to collections without ever sending me a bill is unethical, and now I have damage to my credit rating through no fault of my own.
