Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft California
I have attempted to resolve a fraudulent account AWA Collection is continuously trying to collect on. I have submitted my dispute to the company and credit bureaus explaining that the account is fraudulent and a result of identity theft. I attached along my disputes to both credit bureaus and AWA a copy of my police report, identification, current utility bill, address and FTC ID Theft affidavit. AWA reporting this account on my credit profile has dramatically damaged my credit score and has caused me defamation of my character. This is not my debt, I did n't create it, was n't aware of it until recent and when I became aware, I immediately contacted AWA and the credit bureaus to make them aware and correct the fraudulent reporting and collecting.
