My boyfriend received a call at work from - - - - asking for me. He asked who it was and they would not give him any information. They asked if I was there to talk and he said, No. '' Then, they hung up. I searched out the phone number and found it was for a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates, '' which is a collection agency. There are also several reports online about this company trying to scam people out of money by claiming that they have an unpaid debt owing. I am not aware of anything that I might be owing to or through this company.
