Financial Asset Management Systems Inc. representative contacted me to collect a debt. However, the representative refused to give me any information on the debt unless I provided my full social security number. I told representative that I will not provide my social security number ; that I will only provide my name and address. The representative insisted that I provide my social security number otherwise she will not provide any information about the debt. I told her that I will not jeopardize giving you my social security number for her and the company she is representing to use in any type of security breach that can devastate my identity. She insisted that I give my social security number or else I do not receive the information about a debt collection and threatened to take legal action against me for not providing my social security number to her. I find this very troubling as this company has attempted to extort my social security number and attempting to collect a debt and are unable to provide any information about this debt and then use threatening tactics. Unacceptable!!!!
