We missed paying our balance in full by $3.00 last month. We were charged $9.00 in interest for that month and $22.00 the next month, for a total of $31.00 for a - time $3.00 error. Is n't that an excessive amount? The credit card company did waive the second interest charge, but I still think an interest should be charged on the amount past due and not on the total balance.
