AES/PHEAA Student loan department,
Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Oregon
After being injured - on the job, I went back to school and my mom co-signed on private student loans - - - - - - - -. I had no problem paying the monthly bills until my mom died last year, 2014. I wrote to AES/NCT repeatedly, contacted the original lender, -, paid every amount third party collection agencies, such as -, -, asked. AES/NCT refused to extend a reduced payment plan that enabled me to pay my rent, bills, buy food, and pay AES. They said NCT refused ; however, when asked, AES said NCT does not hold the original loans, they do. They referred to NCT as the lender. I contacted - - ( CEO ) of AES and - - ( CEO ) of -. So far, AES/NCT is refusing to deal with - ( even though I have given my permission to speak with their Liaison ). They did not have a third party collection agency contact me about loan sequence - and it went into default. I am not employed. I am a - candidate just months away from completing my dissertation and they will not work with me and let me pay what I can afford. I am - years old and so far, have been able to keep everything current until now. Because of the default, I can no longer get a - loan to complete my degree and AES/NCT keep giving me the runaround but will not reduce payments to what I can afford.
