JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I had a reward card for numerous years. I had built up a substantial rewards balance on the card. This card was usually always paid off monthly. The charges were substantial. As the result of losing a contract and closing a business with - locations I was forced to file chapter - protection. There was no balance on the credit card company, in fact a small credit balance. Immediately on filing chapter - the credit card company closed my account and said I forfeited my rewards points. This feels like fraud to me and very unethical. The card was used, they made their money on the businesses, I owed them no balance. This was over - points. I 've spoken with the company and - different customer service reps and told the same thing that I forfeited the points. If this is legal then it should be made illegal as its certainly unethical.
