Sale of account California

I had an account with Old Navy, account # -, that account was charged off and sold to - account # - that is reporting the account with a different creditor GE Money, this is a double jeopardy, double damage for my credit report because it appears that I have - different accounts with different creditors. I called - and they did not even give me the option to dispute it. I already have a complaint -, is under investigation but they have not responded yet and is more than one month. - the accounts has to be removed.
