Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine Ohio

On my credit report a debt from Trident Asset Management regarding a check written in 2012. At the time I was separated from my husband and never wrote a check to the creditor, - -. His signature is on the check. They sent me a copy of it and I told them my signature is no where on there. They stated since my name was on check first I was responsible. I no nothing about the check. They refuse to delete it from my file. I spoke with them twice but to no avail.
