I rented an apartment for my daughter and after she moved out I received a $5100.00 invoice from the rental agency 's credit collection agency. The rent was $790.00. per month and she owed for two months. I concede to that, but they tacked on a bunch of charges for various items ( see letter attached ). They also kept her $790.00 rental deposit. I kept trying to contact the rental agency to try and work a settlement with them for the two months owed. However, they refused and put $5100.00 on my credit report. I have attached all the correspondence that I sent to them trying to work this out. I also contact the collection agency thay they used and they would not correspond with me. I had my attorney send them a letter. When they finally responded, a month later, they gave me a $ $580.00 credit but would not rescind any of the outrageous charges. After that, they dropped the ball and I have n't received any other correspondence from them to this day, - -, 2015. I want to work this out for a fair and equitable settlement. Transunion said that they checked with Credit Bureau Associates and they remain steadfast with their claim.
