Unsolicited issuance of credit card Missouri
I applied for a Dillard 's charge card as I would like to participate in their rewards program. Instead of a charge card, I was issued a Dillard 's American Express card. I contacted Dillard 's and - - requesting a downgrade to a regular Dillard 's charge card and was told I was ineligible for a downgrade because my credit is too good and that only people with bad credit are eligible for a Dillard 's only '' charge card. I do not want another credit card because of the greater liability if lost stolen and the fact that I plan to let other persons use the card for Dillard 's purchases. I believe it is an unfair practice to issue Dillard 's charge cards only to persons with bad credit and to refuse to issue a charge card to persons with good credit. Desired resolution : Issue me a Dillard 's only charge card. The - - card that I was issued is -. I have not activated it ; nor do I intend to do so.
