I obtained a loan through avant - in - 2015, in - i refinanced the loan due to the extremely high interest rate of 59 %, - paid the loan in full and i received confirmation from avant that they recd cks and that the loan was paid off. In the early part of - of 2015, i started receiving harrassing emails and calls regarding an unpaid balance there of -, i emailed them copies of the cleared checks in addition to my loan note copy stating the loan was paid in full. Avant 's compliance dept was handling the inquiry and that they were looking into it.. I received an email from them yesterday that stated they had found the problem, apparently do to an internal processing error my loan was removed from the paid in full list, the debited my account today for - by a remote control check and after numerous calls to them today they stated that i would have to wait for my money until the ck cleared ''. The debited my account for bill and grocery money that i needed to take care of my family. I offered to call bank on - so that they could get confirmation that the money was debited.. '' That is not their policy they stated and avant complaince could not be reached by way of phone calls only emails. Please address this concern before anyone else has to go through this headache with a company that is supposed to help consumers not cause them duress..
