We needed to borrow $40000.00 to purchase a house that was for sale in - NV. We approached Wells Fargo bank, which we have been customers with since 1993, have all our checking & rental accounts with and - house mortgage. We filled out their loan paperwork & submitted all necessary documents. We have an excellent credit rating, my husband is employed full time, I 'm retired receiving state retirement & working part-time. We own a duplex & - houses, rented continuously for over 5 years, and a weekend home - valued at $180000.00, all completely paid for. We have - vehicles, - that are financed through the credit union and - paid off. We had no credit card balance at the time of the application, as we usually pay off the balance on our cards each month. *My complaint : With everything I have stated above, Wells Fargo Bank - who has stated we were such great, long-time customers, could NOT borrow the asked for amount of money to purchase a house because they were UNCOMFORTABLE loaning us the money! Why? Even our local federal credit union loaned us $50000.00 in an unsecured loan, and we have - cars on credit with them!! Something needs to be investigated into the loaning practices & customer services of Wells Fargo Bank. We were even willing to pay their outrageous interest rate & fee program. Thank you.
