Fidelity Information Corp, on behalf of original creditor, - - and - - -, '' is attempting to collect a debt for which I was never contractually obligated. This debt, resulting from unpaid obligations to rental property management, should only be assigned to the contracted lessee, my father. At the time, I was a dependent of my father ; he was my sole source of housing and financial support, as I was an unemployed full-time college student. Although I was likely listed as an occupant on my father 's rental agreement, I never signed a lease, and never agreed to pay any portion of the rent. The collection agency, Fidelity Information Corporation, has been unable to provide me with adequate proof of this debt, and has been unable to prove that I was contractually obligated to repay this debt resulting from a contract that my father signed while I was listed as his dependent.
