Wells Fargo Credit card department,
I have a credit card with Wells Fargo. The due date '' on my account is the - of every month. ON - -, 2015 I went to my online account with Wells Fargo ready to make a payment to my account ... .this was at -. When I opened my file and looked at my account online, my balance had gone up $35.00 with no explanation ... additionally there were alert messages in red stating Your account is over limit, remit payment at once ''. I had not charged anything with that card and looked at the definition of date due '' ... .which clearly states that you have until - on that business day to make a payment BEFORE late fees are issued. My complaint is that Wells Fargo is assessing a late fee '' at the beginning of the day on the date due and not at the end of the day, as the law reads. I feel that this is illegal and should be looked into. Thank You
