Wells Fargo Credit card department,
I applied for a home rebate credit card with Wells Fargo to accept a 0 % offer and accepted a balance transfer offer included in that. Upon receiving my card the balance transfer was not processed. I proceeded to complete it online with no complaints, but then inquired via phone first to ensure that my balance transfer would apply towards my home rebate offer. They confirmed it would not so I explained that I would not want the balance transfer to be processed. The representative assured me there was no balance transfer processed on my account, however days later I learned from my limited available credit they had processed a balance transfer to my other credit card. I called and advised I would need it reversed as I had not authorized it, or if so had expressed that I did not want it as they did not advertise that balance transfers were not included in the offer. They also had charged me a fee that I was requesting to be credited. Wells Fargo representatives informed me I would need to proceed with a fraud claim and be issued a new card and that would cancel the balance transfer made on
I did, however in the mean time I checked my account because I had made some rather large purchases and discovered not only had the applied the balance transfer fee again, but I now ( because of my purchases was massively over the credit limit ). I called again and this time was told I needed to contact my other credit card company ( - - ) because there was now nothing we could do. - - stated that they could have reversed it, but it was a small window, and the fact that Wells Fargo had given me the runaround for - weeks, that window had passed. I called Wells Fargo again, where I was hung up on after requesting for further management to resolve the issue. I do not want my credit negatively impacted nor do I want to have the balance held with a company that does business like this.
