GE Capital Retail Credit Card Complaint

GE Capital Retail Credit card department,

I have an open credit account with Synchrony Bank who back many different types of credit card financing, e.g. - financing for Appliances ; Care Credit for medical ; cosmetic and vetrinary care financing and - - Pay for car repairs which I have. My complaint is this : Business practices are barely legal to my way of thinking. When you visit their website, you are continuously steered in the direction of giving them all of your information, or they wo n't let you into your account ; even with the correct password. Once you 've passed that hurdle then you are steered toward letting them into your bank account to take out money for payments and other things, and are told in contract that if they deem it necessary they will reach into your bank account and take out what they feel is owed to them based on whatever debit card you used to pay the last bill. Also, it is almost impossible to find a phone number or any other contact information for these people. The only thing listed for dispute resolution is an address which could take you months to resolve anything and by that time they


either ca n't pay on time and they can hit you with a late fee and other financing fees or something. Their business practices may not be illegal, but they are certainly not ethical. My complaint is the way their business practices are structured from gathering information to collecting debt. This company is clearly a legalized loan shark preying on desperate consumers. I will pay the late charge that they hit me with because of a timing error with my bank over - of - weekend and I will close my account and never do business with these people again. Furthermore, I think that they should be investigated and shut down.
