Banana Republic Credit Card Services intentionally obfuscates the process for changing your automatic billing. Whenever you try to change your autopay ( no matter how far in advance of the payment due date ), it cancels your your previously scheduled autopay but does not put in place your newly requested payment amount until the next scheduled payment. Banana republic does not clearly inform you that no payment will be taken out on the next payment due date until - day after the payment is due. This has resulted in fees. Secondly, Banana Republic took out - payments this last month : - was the payment I authorized for the full amount due. The other was a separate billing for $750.00, which I did not authorize. When I called customer service, they could not inform me why this second payment was taken out. The second billing caused my bank account balance to go negative and caused me to incur an overdraft charge from my bank. Banana Republic refused to refund my money unless I went down to the bank and got them to fax over a form confirming that they had accepted both charges, despite the fact that Banana Republic was crediting my account with both charges. I finally ended up cancelling my card. Banana Republic would not refund the overdraft fee the bank charged me.
