JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
I am presently in a debt settlement program. One of my accounts in the settlement program is with JP Mortgage Chase. Chase relentlessly called me at home and on my cell phone at work. I was instructed by my debt settlement company to send a letter to Chase to cease contacting me by phone and especially by cell phone since I was not allowed any calls at work. I sent the letter around -/-/15 Certified / Return Receipt. I stated that I wished to be contacted either by email or home address only not by phone. I received the return receipt dated and signed on -/-/15. However, the phone calls continued ignoring my request to cease by contact by phone /cell phone at work. JPMorgan Chase has now turned my letter over to - - a collection agency which has called 3 to 4 times a day on both my cell phone and home phone. I received a letter from - - dated - -, received - - but I starting receiving these calls prior to receiving this letter. I am in the process of trying to settle my account with JPMorgan Chase. My next step is to contact this collection agency to stop harassing me by phone. But, I doubt that will end. Since, this - - has many complaints against it for its debt collections practices. But, I wanted to file a complaint with the CFPB regarding the 3 to 4 calls a day since -/-/- and now into -/-/-. I was informed that these collections agency may call you once a day. If this is true then is - - in violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act?
