Other (phone, health club, etc.) Taking/threatening an illegal action Sued w/o proper notification of suit Florida

Received notice to collect debt, call collection services and explaned that I was retired and - had fixed income and offered to pay what I could afford, which was $10.00 a month, and told that of the $1100.00 a month I recieve I owe $1000.00 a month in bills, Ihave $100.00 a month to live on I thought that resonable, they said yes I asked for letter in writing and I would start paying, they said no just start paying I said without letter or Email I would not. I repeated this offer - more time to different reps. Then was put on my credit reports.
