Wells Fargo Credit card department,
I am requesting the date of last payment on a credit card and line of credit from Wells fargo. I have asked for this information via credit reporting agencies and through Wells Fargo directly to no avail since -/-/-. I understand that these debts have been sold to - -. - - continues to re-age the accounts. I received a letter from Wells Fargo on -/-/- The letter is ambiguously written to avoid answering the DATE OF LAST PAYMENT or THE DATE OF FIRST DELINQUENCY. Their correspondence only states the date the account was closed. This is not the information I need. I need documentation showing the last payment ( i.e. cancelled check ) to prove the date of last payment or date of first delinquency. I need this to understand when the - year statute of limitations begins for reporting the debt. Wells Fargo 's response was ambiguously written to avoid answering the questions.
