On -/-/- I had a - performed at - - Hospital. In late -/-/- I was contacted by phone requesting payment in the amount of $3200.00. I had never received a bill or statement. At that time I was told there had been issues with statements not getting mailed out and that the representative would request another -. Still no statement showed up. I finally received a statement dated -/-/- for $3.00 and paid it in full. I have received nothing since then and assumed my obligations fulfilled. On -/-/- I was contacted by a collection company by the name of CACI to collect a balance on my account of $530.00. My account had been turned over to collections for an amount that I knew nothing about. No statement, no phone call, nothing for - months since my procedure indicating a bill of $530.00. I feel as though my consumer rights have been violated. I was never educated in the fact that I owed any remaining money. I spoke with a representative from - Hospitals today -/-/- that again admitted that their system failed to send out statements, yet no resolution regarding the fact that my personal credit has been affected by a submission to a collection agency. I feel this is very wrong. I am an educated and healthy person and can not get anywhere with this entity. I feel strongly that someone should speak up on the behalf of the ill and under educated individuals who might also be affected in this situation. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
