Hello, My friends ' parents have repeatedly received calls from a caller who would not identify his employer, he said he was calling from the US dept. of Education about a loan in default ( all my loans are current as confirmed by - an hour ago ) Caller : - -Phone : -, - have never resided at this address or provided my friends ' parents ' phone number as a contact number. They refuse to acknowledge that they called my friend 's parents number, a number I do n't even know. When I called to indicate they should delete all contact numbers aside from my cell phone they refused to do so unless I provided my full social security number. I do not in fact owe them a debt as my loan is current and serviced by - ; when I spoke with - they indicated that they never authorize 3rd party collection calls and not to ever provide my social security number.
