I was contacted by Procollect collection agency about an apartment i rented in 2013. during that time i gave a 45 day notice i would be breaking the lease and paid an % - Re-Letting fee. a couple weeks later the apartment i was renting was rented to another person. a month after that my account was reported to collections even though they stated after the apartment was re-rented the only penalty i would pay was the re-letting fee i had already paid. i have contacted the collection agency - asking for verification of the debt both times they told me the would e-mail it and mail it through the post office. Neither time did i receive any verification of the debt. i sent them proof of my 45 day notice of me breaking the lease and the money i paid for the re-letting fee. They then told me they would subtract the re-letting fee i paid from the principle debt. which they never did. and i still have no verification of this debt.
