JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,
On -/-/- I was contacted by - of - about an old credit card debt that I had with Providian -. He stated that I had filed for a credit card under false pretense and that I had a complaint for the theft of a credit card account. I told him that I had never heard of this credit card and never received any paperwork regarding a credit card and a debt. I asked him if he would send me the paperwork regarding the debt which he told me - then I was emailed an agreement to start making payments and the document's total was -. I refused to sign it and I was practically bullied into giving my credit card information
dates when the card was in status of charged off -/-/- and I stated it is past the statue of limitations and then he stated -/-/-. He refused to mail the paperwork so I could see documentation of the exact date I had applied for the credit card. He told me that I would be sued and have to pay attorney fees I was afraid and I gave him my credit card information but when I received the agreement from the amount had jumped from - to - dollars and I refused to sign. In addition, the documents he emailed me were dated - and I have until - to sign them. I did not make initial contact until -/-/-. I responded to an email and stated why wasn't I mailed this document sooner?I really feel threatened because I don't think he wanted to listen to me and he kept placing me on hold stating that he was preparing the paperwork but then when I was emailed the paperwork that did not have the right dates on them which I talked with him in -/-/- the documents had already been prepared months ago and they never made contact with me.They had the wrong zip code on the paperwork so if it was mailed it went somewhere else. I do not appreciate being treated like a criminal when I haven't heard anything about this company. I have been a victim of identity theft but I feel I am a victim of being criminalized of something I have no clue about.
