-/-/- I pulled my credit report and there was a collection on my account for $20.00 by Certegy Check services. I contacted their office in -/-/- via the telephone, -/-/- by mail, -/-/- by phone, -/-/- by phone and -/-/- by telephone to no avail. The identified the debt as - - -/-/-. I do not have any responsibility for the debt they are trying to collect. I have contacted the - and was told I have $0.00 outstanding items with them and confirmed with my bank that there were $0.00 overdraft/NSF charges in -. I attached bank statements showing the amount charged cleared the bank. I contacted their office and spoke to a manager after I was hung up on - times. She claimed I had - outstanding claims with their office. I requested in writing on - - : This is NOT a request for verification '' or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your office provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. This is including proof of the initial debt, my authorization to collect the initial debt, proof of your license into collect in the state of - and -. I received a response to my letter dated -/-/- saying they are unable to provide a copy of the check because it was an electronic. They also indicated that it was dishonored by my banking institution which is not the case. I provided my bank statements and match the amounts in question.
