Other (phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid California
A collection agency, Pro Collect, is trying to collect a debt that should not exist. In - of 2012, I discontinued payment on a storage unit due to financial difficulties. Within a couple of weeks of non-payment, I received a notice from the storage facility that the locks would be cut and my items would be sold at auction. I received a prelien notice on -, a lock cut notice on - and a notice that my items were to be sold at auction on -/-/2012. With rent at the storage costing $ -/mo, the items sold at auction should have well covered the month of rent that was due. It has been 3 years since I have heard anything about the storage unit. Now, 3 years later, Pro Collect, a collection agency, is trying to collect $6800.00 in back rent on the storage unit. This is outrageous and a complete scam!
