At the time of my divorce the judge ordered my ex wife and I to pay different credit cards. she used - in my name and I had - in her name that I used. she was responsible for paying the debt in my name but she did n't. I have sent my divorce decree and letters to the credit card company many times explaining the situation that she was responsible but they ignored me. Finally, since she refused to pay the bill it was turned over to collections. they would n't accept the divorce papers either. She finally settled for a lesser amount Now it is on my credit.
