A company with the name of Credit Collection Services ( CCS ), web address of - is claiming that a delinquent account from - - - has been sent to them for collections in the amount of $270.00 and has been reported to the credit bureaus. They give me the option to pay in full and have the issue resolved. The problem is that I am current with my cable and internet ( in fact, I am using it to send this complaint - and - - has not sent me to collections. Credit Collection Services can not provide an account number or any proof that I owe a debt other than reiterating that I owe it and my credit is harmed by not paying it. I have not received prior collection attempts from them or anyone else warning that I would be reported. I just suddenly received this letter that I already have been reported, but can repair my credit by paying them. The only option is to pay in full. There is no option for them to even prove the debt. Although they provide no account number, they provide a PIN number which is conveniently my zip code. Doing a brief web search, it is clear this company repeats this pattern on a regular basis. ( Please give an extra option in the above drop down window. It is n't so much an attempt to collect a debt that is n't mine as much as it is an attempt to collect a debt that simply does n't exist. )
