I applied for a business credit card through Amex. They sent me a pre-approved '' mailing pack and they gave me - to open. As I was talking to the customer service rep I explained that most of my cards had higher limits. His exact response was that all I had to do was apply for a higher limit and Amex would take care of me on that one ''. So I did-like an -. I applied for an increase on my personal - card which I got in 30 seconds and then I applied on my Amex business card the same day. Amex denied me. So I was thinking maybe the credit line is too new -. And the csr lied to me. So i applied for a credit increase on my personal Amex card as well. Denial. I hate Amex and their lying customer service reps that promise me an increase if I applied for one and led me to believe that if I had did a hard inquiry I would get the small credit increase of -. They should not be able to lie like that -.
