PayPal Credit card department,
Paypal credit advertises a scheme where no payments need to be made for 6 months. However, interest charges are accrued over that period and charged if a complete payment is not made at the end of 6 months. Due to this scheme I just missed - payment but was charged the full deferred interest for 6 months - like missing - payments -. I believe there should be sufficient information about the interest that will be charged - dollar amount ) in such a last statement should a payment be missed. Basically, I was charged this fee just for missing to read - email. It would also bode well for credit companies to make some exceptions on the fees when a genuine mistake was made in making a payment. Consumers would gladly pay interest/fees where it 's clearly agreed upon. I believe the company is preying on consumers by giving them a free pass '' for 6 months only to charge them the whole fee hoping they miss - payment.
