I purchased a home in - 2015. I needed to get homeowners insurance, so my Father went to - and met with an agent named - - to get a quote on my behalf. My Father gave me the quote but my mortgage company was able to find me a better option that I decided to go with. A few weeks later I received a statement from -. I emailed the agent and told her that my Father went to see her for a quote and that was it. I had never met her, spoken with her, or signed anything to get insurance from -. I thought I had made this clear until just recently, when a collections agency reached out to me. I 'm appalled that this can happen and potentially hurt my credit
