Ebay floods inboxes with offers to sell for free '' list for free '' after the consumer falls for the deception and sell an item they are hit with a bill for the seller fees. When contacting ebay they explain that It does n't matter what the email title says, if you read the small print you 'll discover that they are only waving the $0.00 listing fee. Ebay also floods inboxes with email that state
date on the card. what they do n't disclose is the date on the card will be - days from when the email is sent. I fell for both of these deceptions, while selling my iphone. I would never have used ebay if it was not for the email that said sell for free '' and the sell a smartphone by ___ and get a $25.00 gift card '' was a bonus. After the sale I went fishing for a week upon returning home I found I was hit with full seller fees and the gift card was expired by the time I even knew I had it. In disputing this with ebay they were unwilling to see the error of deceptive marketing. how ever they did offer to settle for 50 % which was $17.00 and change, I told them to use the gift card that I never got to use, and was told I cant use promotional gift cards to pay this debt.
