PayPal Credit card department,
My husband has a Bill me Later/Pay pal account. I went to make a purchase at the end of last year. When I went to pay put I put all of my husband's info like I always do, except this time I accidentally put my last - digits of my social. They opened and account another account up with my husbands name and birthday and my last digits of my social. So we had a completely new account and was not aware of it for 4 months. The bill comes under my husband's name and I never open them I just pay them by phone on the due dates. I got a different letter in the mail saying that we were 3 months behind on our bill, which by the way we have never missed a payment with them in 3 years that we have been customers. I called to find out what was going on and was shocked that they had opened an account with a name their birthday and another person's last - digits of the SSN. I asked them how in the world did they have the right to open the account with wrong and such little information. Now I have a huge min payment and was sent to the credit score people. My husband just told me about the fine that they were charged with. Will there be a class action law suit?
