PayPal Credit card department,
I was attempting to use my PayPal Account to pay for an electronic fax on the website -. When I clicked on the pay with PayPal tab, I was prompted for personal information to confirm my identity in order to check out. The payment process was misleading, as the consumer is led to believe they are simply confirming it is them who is attempting to use the account. In reality I was signed up for a PayPal credit account, that I never wanted. There was nothing that clearly identified the fact that I was signing up for a credit account. It will now show as an inquiry on my credit report, and it will show that I had this account and closed it. I immediately called to close the account, and did not have any problems with the company in that aspect of this issue.
