I received communication from a company called - - ( - ) account # - in -/-/-, asking me to make a payment settlement to account I have no knowledge of, however it claims it was an inherited debt. In -/-/-, I phoned - inquiring about the debt. I was placed on hold, after informing the representative on the phone I was recording this conversation, and he never returned. In -/-/- I sent - a certified letter ( - - - - - ) requesting they validate the debt, and if this is in fact a verified debt of mine, I would pay it. I did not receive a response to their letter. Upon no response, I disputed this account with the credit agencies ( all - ) only to be informed the account is validated, and therefore there is no change on my credit report. Months have passed with me disputing through the credit agencies, and I have once again sent - another letter, this time certified return receipt ( - - - - - ) and ( - - - - - ). I have since received the receipt back, however - still has not validated this account, and refuses to remove this account from my credit report.
