The offer is for 2.9 % APR for 12 months. The offer states that the superchecks may be used for balance transfers '' or as you would use a personal check for purchases. '' The offer clearly distinguishes balance transfers from purchases, and only states that there will be a balance transfer fee. After using - of the superchecks for a purchase, Wells Fargo charged me a
there was nothing she could do. She was also unable to show me in the offer where purchases are also subject to balance transfer fees. On - - 's advice, I contacted the credit card center and spoke with a manager. I spoke with - -, who was also unable to show me where the offer states that purchases are subject to balance transfer fees. He explained to me that there was nothing he could do to remove the fee from my account. Wells Fargo Bank failed to inform me that a purchase '' is the same as a balance transfer. '' The offer is misleading.
