The original creditor, Wells Fargo Bank, sold my debt to a collection agency, and I paid the debt in full in 2011. The agency correctly reported the amount paid in full to the credit reporting bureau - however, the original creditor shows the debt as owing and 'late. ' I contacted Wells Fargo and they refuse to remove the debt from my credit report.
