Applied for a loan modification and was denied for insufficient income and denial letter did not state what income they used for the basis of denial. Called US Bank and spoke with the single point of contact - - and asked her what income was used for the basis of denial and she said she could not give me that information and that loss mitigation handles those numbers and we are not allowed to contact them. I explained that I needed that information to determine if I should appeal the denial and provide proof of error. She said I needed to appeal denial to get the income they used. I explained that if you can not tell me what income you used how can I prove you used the wrong income.
